In today’s fast paced life, we often ignore our own mental health needs until we realize that stress levels have reached a point that has become unmanageable. It could be that our relationships are strained because of changes in financial situations, parenting, or demands at work. Or maybe an unexpected illness in the family has changed dynamics and everyone is looking to find their place in the new family system. Perhaps your child or teen is suffering from a chronic illness, developmental disability, autism spectrum disorder, or academic difficulties.
Summit Mental Health Services strives to create an environment where individuals can explore the cause of their distress and cultivate tools to meet today and tomorrow’s life challenges. Our therapists recognize that every patient brings their unique strengths and weaknesses, and has the power to alter the course of their life. They have years of experience in working with individuals suffering from situational emotional distress, mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, loss and grief, trauma, PTSD, and developmental disabilities, such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum disorders, attachment issues, testing and evaluation, and other childhood issues, such as adjustment issues, bullying, and coping.
All of our counselors are licensed mental health counselors and/or licensed clinical social workers. In addition to their licensing, each of them have a Master’s level education and additional training in specific areas of specialization. Please visit our mental health therapists page for more information about each of our counselors and who might be a good fit for you.
